This template can be used during the planning phase of your project to minimize the possibilities of overlapping roles, unclear communication, and misplaced expectations once your project kicks off. To get started, you need to first list down your tasks vertically, and the names of individual team members (or stakeholders) horizontally.
Unlike our other RACI templates where we categorize stakeholders by team and tasks by phase, this template does not require you to sort your tasks or stakeholders in any specific way. As you can see, for each stakeholder, you have four RACI roles or levels represented as lettered circles for you to select from depending on their relationship to the task in question: R (Responsible), A (Accountable), C (Consulted) and (I) Informed.
Once you have tailored the template to the unique details of your project, it’s time to let the RACI framework work its magic. All you need to do is assign a suitable RACI role to each stakeholder for each task by selecting the right circle. We use vibrant colors to help you tell individual stakeholders apart from each other, making it easier for you to identify the tasks & roles of each team member at a glance.
