This RACI Matrix template brings your project or organizational strategy down to the team level. We use a grid-based system with a list of tasks on the one hand, and names of individual teams (or departments) on the other to help you systematically figure out which teams are the Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed parties for which tasks.
For those of you who are not well-versed in the RACI framework, our template comes with a brief RACI User Guide where the nature of each task ownership level is defined in detail. We use a drop-down menu with letters R, A, C and I to create a color-coded scheme that allows you to assign team roles based on their contribution or input to the task.
Note that while in some templates we assign tasks to individual team members – here, we assign tasks at the team level. This allows you to more effectively organize work plans for different teams as well as monitor the work of team leaders once the project gets moving. For this template, we have also not clubbed tasks according to phases or based them on any particular chronological or priority-based order.
