Tracking the progress and activities of remote staff can be a challenging task, but a pre-designed spreadsheet with proper structure to record work activity and schedule can simplify this process. Given that, we have designed a template for Excel and Google Sheets to ease this whole process. Remote employees can use this template to organize and record their activities, while employers and managers can use it to track and monitor employees’ activities.
The template is designed to record a week’s work activities on a single sheet. The weekly calendar is auto-updated when you enter the start date. A timeline of 12 hours is added in the first column that is hourly divided. To make the activity recording easy, we have added color keys with pre-designed statuses. To record your activity, you first have to choose the date from the column and then narrow down the cell by checking the row of the target time. Upon clicking on the target cell, a dropdown will appear with options to choose from the predefined statuses.
You can change the predefined activities and color keys from the configuration sheet.
This template is print-ready and with a professional layout. Furthermore, it is available in various file formats, such as ODS, XLSX, XLTX, and Google spreadsheet, while acting as an effective tool for communication between employees and employers.
