How to Play Five Crown

To play Five Crowns, you need a minimum of two players and a maximum of seven players. With more than seven players, the game gets too messy, so it is best to play as teams or use multiple decks.

Set Up: Shuffle the deck and deal the correct number of cards for the round (rounds go from three cards up to thirteen). Hand each player a score sheet template to track their points, wild cards, and strategy.

Understand Wilds: Each round has a wild card. For special variations, wild numbers may be chosen with dice or jokers. Record these on your score sheet.

Take Turns: On your turn, draw a card from the deck or discard pile, then discard one card to maintain your hand size. Use your sheet to mark runs, books, or any special moves.

Form Books & Runs: Arrange your cards into sets (books) or sequences (runs) and note them on your template for easy scoring.

Go Out: When you can lay down all your cards in valid books or runs, end the round and calculate points. Note them down on your score sheet so nothing is forgotten.

Repeat Rounds: Continue through all rounds (three to thirteen cards). Track achievements, strategies, and scores on the templates for a complete game history.

Final Scores: At the end, tally all points from your score sheets to determine the winner. Bonus points and variation rules are easy to apply when everything is neatly recorded.
