WordLayouts is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Content Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality content that meets our standards and resonates with our target audience. This role demands a high level of professionalism, excellent English language skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake comprehensive research on various topics to ensure the content is factual, relevant, and engaging for the intended audience.
  • Develop detailed content outlines, including headings, sub-headings, guidelines, references, and resources, to guide writers in producing structured and coherent articles.
  • Thoroughly review articles for accuracy, clarity, sentence structure, grammar, relevance to the intended audience, and overall usefulness. Ensure that the content aligns with our editorial standards and objectives.
  • Actively communicate with writers to provide feedback, suggest content modifications, and update guidelines as necessary to maintain the quality and consistency of the content.
  • Uphold a high standard of professionalism and discipline in all aspects of the role.
  • Utilize exceptional English language proficiency in both written and verbal forms.
  • Use analytical skills to assess content quality and critical thinking to suggest improvements.
  • Employ robust research skills to gather relevant information and data to support content development.
  • Pay close attention to all aspects of content, including factual accuracy, language, and presentation.
  • Stay adaptable to evolving content trends and continuously learn to improve content quality and relevance.

Requirements:

  • MPhil in English, Journalism, Communications, Administration, or any related field.
  • 2 years of professional content management, writing, or research experience.
  • Strong portfolio with links to published work showcasing your abilities (preferably under your own name).
  • Exceptional research skills, with the ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Excellent command of the English language, with impeccable grammar and punctuation skills.
  • Excellent research, writing, and editing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
