Tracking the progress and activities of remote staff can be a challenging task but a pre-designed document with proper structure can help in simplifying this process. A template for easing this whole process is provided. Employees can use this complimentary template of remote work schedules to organize and schedule their activities, while employers and managers can use it to track and monitor employees’ activities.

A set of tasks is provided, with each task having a specific color, i.e., the priority tasks are denoted with a light green color and meeting with a dark green color. There is a timeline in relation to which you can set your tasks per your schedule. It is easily customizable with dropdown lists, allowing you to select particulars of your tasks. 

Details such as employee name, including the task constraints, such as start and end dates can be entered at the start of this template. As you enter these details, the tasklist is automated to update as per your set dates. Afterward, the particulars of tasks or activities are present, such as clock-in, priority task, secondary task, meeting, break, daily report, and clock-out.

The main sections of this template are:

  • This template has a structured layout, where as an employer, you can adjust your employee’s start and end shift times, i.e., 7.00 AM to 7.00 PM. On the right side, you have a complete weekly calendar that is automatically set as per your set start and end date on the header. A simple dropdown function is added to the calendar to plan your employee’s tasks for a whole week and also for set time durations. 
  • For your assistance, color-coded tasks are provided that you can set in the configuration sheet. These tasks that you will set in the configuration sheet will automatically be available in the dropdown cells of your weekly calendar.
  • Similarly, a notes or comments section is present, enabling you to share important notes or instructions with your employees.
  • Moreover, In the configuration sheet, you can either edit the pre-defined tasks or you can add more color codes or tasks as per your need.
